Registered Professional Nurse - Nursery
Full Time, Night/Day rotation. The Newborn Nursery Registered Professional Nurse accepts responsibility for the delivery of patient care through the process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation as appropriate to the ages of patients served based on the areas of clinical practice. Directs and guides newborn and family teaching. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Maintains confidentiality of all hospital/staff information. Strives to incorporate the philosophy and mission of Mount Saint Mary's Hospital and to incorporate the Hospital's goal of: Quality care, in a personal manner with total regard for individual human dignity.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing with New York State Licensure. Six (6) months of recent RN work experience in a hospital Nursery Unit. Labor & Delivery and postpartum experience preferred. RN Licensure in New York State is required.
Must possess BLS within sixty (60) days from job offer and obtain Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within twelve (12) months of job offer.
