The "Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine" at Mount St. Mary's Hospital Center offers state-of-the-art wound healing care services under the direction of Board Certified Surgeon and Director of Wound Care Charles D. Rice, M.D. The comprehensive program includes initial consultation followed by a stepwise approach designed on an individualized basis to optimize the likelihood of wound healing. Components of the wound care program include Trans-cutaneous Oxygen measurements, surgical and chemical debridement, modern wound dressings, and bioengineered skin grafts. The Wound Healing Center is staffed on a daily basis by a Certified Wound and Ostomy Nurse in addition to a Board Certified Physician.

The Wound Healing Center offers comprehensive Hyperbaric Medicine and Hyperbaric Treatment Services. The Would Healing Center is equipped with three 2005 Sechrist 3200 Monoplace Hyperbaric Chambers. A complete spectrum of Hyperbaric Medicine and Hyperbaric Treatment Services is offered in accordance with presently accepted guidelines established by the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society and Medicare. These services include, but are not limited to, Carbon Monoxide Poisoning, Gas Gangrene, failed surgical skin grafts and flaps, refractory Osteomyelitis, Air Gas Embolism, Diabetic Foot Ulcers, and Scuba Diving Decompression Injuries. These decompression injuries however, whenever possible will be referred to the Multiplace Hyperbaric Chamber at Millard Fillmore Gates Circle Hospital.

The Center is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday for routine services, but will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on an on-call basis for Hyperbaric emergencies.

Administrative and consultative services for the Center are provided by Precision Health Care New York, LLC. The principals of Precision Health Care enjoy a 28-year reputation of providing high quality Hyperbaric Medicine and wound healing services on an international basis.
