Dear Patient:

We ask that you please arrive 30 minutes prior to your appointment.If you have a 7AM appointment please report directly to the EMERGENCY ROOM,all other appointments may go directly to the RADIOLOGY DEPT.

There are no preparations or dietary restrictions for this examination. It is painless and does not involve any radiation, however, we do ask that each patient be pre-screened by answering a quick series of questions. If there is a possibility of claustrophobia, please call 298-2370 and inform us prior to your appointment date.

The MRI unit is magnetic, therefore, we recommend that you wear clothing free of any snaps, zippers or buckles. Before entering the Scanning Room you will be asked to remove any metal items such as glasses, removable dental work, jeweley, watch, bank cards with magnetic strips, safety pins etc. These items will be secured in a locked area.

You will be interviewed once again just prior to the test. Please anticipate this entire process to take approximately one hour. If you have any further question regarding your examination, feel free to call the MRI Department at 298-2288. In the meantime, please fill out the enclosed screening form and bring it with you the day of your appointment.

WE REQUIRE YOUR PRESCRIPTION FOR THIS TEST TO ENSURE WE TAILOR THE EXAM TO ANSWER YOUR MEDICAL PROBLEMS. IF YOUR PHYSICIAN HAS NOT GIVEN ONE TO YOU, YOU MAY ASK THME TO FAX IT TO US AT 298-2256.
