Dear Patient:

We ask that you please report directly to the Radiology Department 15 minutes prior to your appointment so that you may be registered. From the front entrance, this is located through the first door on your left.

Please do not eat or drink after midnight the night before your examination. You may take your medications as directed.

This procedure may take anywhere from 2-4 hours. The procedure is complete when the barium you drink reaches the end of the small intestines. The total time of this exam is dependent upon your digestive system.
