Family Nurse Practitioner (Neighborhood Health Center)
Part Time, 30 hours per bi-weekly pay period. The Family Nurse Practitioner is a licensed Nurse Practitioner in New York State who has completed an organized program of study with emphasis on certain medical, diagnostic, therapeutic knowledge and skills, which enables functioning in an expanded and advanced role. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Maintains confidentiality of all hospital/staff information. Strives to incorporate the philosophy and mission of Mount Saint Mary's Hospital and to incorporate the Hospital's goal of: Quality care, in a personal manner with total regard for individual human dignity.
Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school for Registered Nurse and accredited program for Nurse Practitioner. On-the-job training provided. Current BLS and ACLS Required
Nurse Practitioner Certification within one (1) year of date of hire. Failure to obtain certification will result in termination of employment. RN Licensure in New York State required. Nurse Practitioner Licensure in New York State required. One (1) year of Nurse Practitioner experience in a hospital, clinical or physician office setting preferred.
