Respiratory Care Practitioner
Respiratory Care Practitioner - Per Diem - Provides cardiopulmonary respiratory therapy to the inpatient and outpatient populations as ordered by a physician, according to established standards and practices.
Qualifications - Either: (1) Associates Degree with Certification in Respiratory Therapy or (2) Graduated from High School or equivalent, and has completed an approved one (1) year certificate program in Respiratory Therapy Technology or a Respiratory program determined by the Department to be equivalent and at least five (5) years of experience. Three (3) months of experience as a license eligible Respiratory Therapy Technician. Employee will be a graduate of an accredited RespiratoryTherapy Technology program. BLS within (2) two months of employment required. Licensed New York State Respiratory Therapy Technician required. Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
