OB/GYN Surgical Nurse Practitioner - Full Time.  The Nurse Practitioner is a licensed and credentialed Nurse Practitioner in New York State who provides diagnosis, treatment, consultation, supervision of testing, and follow-up under the supervision of a physician. The Nurse Practitioner provides age and specialty appropriate medical care at the level of training achieved for the Inpatient and Outpatient populations.

Qualifications - Graduate of an accredited school for Registered Nurse and accredited program for Nurse Practitioner.  Will provide training to new graduates.  Current BLS Required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and PALS within six (6) months of date of hire.  Completion of a nurse practitioner educational program registered by the New York State Education Department as qualifying for certification, or a program determined by the Department to be equivalent to a registered program, which is designed and conducted to prepare graduates to practice as nurse practitioners. Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner by the State of New York.  Current certification or active participation in the examination process leading to certification within one (1) year by one of the following national certifying organizations: American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses or American Nurses Credentialing Center.  Current DEA registration. Current CNOR/CRNFA (if applicable) certification. Current Nurse Practitioner Licensure in New York State required.  Current Nurse Practitioner License in specialty area required. One (1) year surgical experience is preferred.
