Registered Physcial Therapist -Part Time - 30 hours per biweekly pay period. Bachelor of Science Degree in accredited Physical Therapy. Doctorate Degree preferred. Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Program. NYS License and Registration is required in the physical therapy profession. BLS required with 60 days of hire. ACLS certification preferred. Orthopedics, low back and neck, neurological and geriatric exp., and wound care preferred. Three (3) months acute care general hospital preferred or equivalent.
Provides services to patients/clients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes. On a daily basis, practicing across acute, rehabilitative, and chronic stages of care, assists patients/clients in restoring health, alleviating pain and examining, evaluating, and diagnosing impairments, functional limitations, disabilities or changes in physical functioning and health status. Practices with autonomy, adhering to Best Practice guidelines and communicating with all healthcare professionals for the best plan of care for the patient/client.
Provides physical therapy services as outlined in the Standards of Practice for Physical Therapy and the Criteria, Guide to Physical Therapist Practice, Code of Ethics, Guide for Professional Conduct and New York State Department of Education Scope of Practice law.
