Nurse Attendant/EmStar
Nurse Attendant/EmStar- Part Time (30 hours per bi-weekly pay period), and Per Diem. 12am-8am.
The EmStar Nurse Attendant is responsible to assist the professional staff by performing various patient care activities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. The Nurse Attendant is responsible for the delivery of patient care in EmStar as directed by the Director or Registered Nurse as appropriate to the ages of patients served in this department. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Strives to incorporate the philosophy and mission of Mount Saint Mary's Hospital and to incorporate the Hospital's goal of: Quality care, in a personal manner with total regard for individual human dignity.
Represents MSMH accurately and honestly. Acts with integrity and in the best interest of MSMH. Identifies instances of non-compliance and takes appropriate action, including reporting violations of the CRP, Hospital policy or regulations as appropriate.
Qualifications - High School or equivalent required. Six (6) month nurse attendant hospital/skilled experience or completion of Certified Nurse Attendant Course or three (3) month ER experience or equivalent EMT experience required. Previous emergency room experience preferred. C.N.A. and Basic Life Support Certification preferred.
